Meet: Tim
Tim citizen Boarded the shuttle bus from Bridges to Vineyard that morning, not knowing that he would be matched with an artist. As we all shared food and conversation at the King's Table I could see that he was an encourager and a friend to many around him. Tim shared dreams of giving back to his community, reconciling broken relationships, and having a place in Lake Tahoe one day. He spoke of the days that he served in the army and traveling the world. With a big smile, he brought up fond memories of his son playing baseball and having fun playing a good golf game.
When stepping out to do Brian's class, I remember God saying to me "just say yes ". So that is what I did, each class was just one step at a time for me. Week after week praying and painting God started to make clear the pure and genuine love that He has for Tim. God started shaping the painting and He brought to light how he saw Tim as His child. Galatians 4:6-7 was on repeat in my head when painting, " Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” So, you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir."
Tim left the Bridges shelter and has not been located since. We are praying for protection over Tim and hope that we can one day soon reveal this painting to him. At the end of our meeting, he told me he hoped all my dreams would come true. I believe the same for you, Tim.
