Meet: RYAN
Upon meeting Ryan for the first time months ago, this first thing I noticed was his stature. I could tell in this moment, he was a big person with a soft tender heart. As we spoke, Ryan began to cry as he shared his story as it relates to the Inpsire foster program he’s a part of. At this point in time, reconciliation with his father was a burden on his heart. I can tell, there have been many experiences in his childhood with his father prior to this point. He asked for prayer, and as we laid hands on him and asked for wisdom, tears flowed from his heart to his eyes.
Fast forward to today, I was able to reveal Ryan’s painting. I explained to him while painting it, worshipping, and praying into his future, the Lord gave me an idea to use a palette of primary colors. Red, yellow, and blue. These are the basic colors by which you can make all other colors. I felt the Lord was speaking a word to Ryan revealing how he has been gifted from birth with the essential “colors” within himself, to walk out the plans and purposes he has for him in this life. With those basic seeds/colors planted in him, Ryan has the ability to create the full palette of colors and dreams the Lord has placed on his heart for this lifetime. As I elaborated, “Everything you need is already within you”, tears fell down Ryan’s face. “The Kingdom is within you”, I reiterated.
Ryan explained how his father passed away in June of last year(2020). Ryan was able to take care of him at his bedside and used this time for reconciliation and for moments of healing to take place as months and months of his illness continued. As Ryan walks out this next chapter, this moment of his painting reveal deposited a belief in himself, and a confidence that with the colors deposited within him, he can do all things with Christ. We are excited to see what he “paints” in this lifetime. So grateful for Ryan’s “yes” to Faces of Riverside.
