Meet: Ken
I met Ken in Ferndale outside the Western Market. He was always very pleasant to talk with and often wanted some watermelon and coke from inside the store. We had the chance to talk a few times, and he was very willing to share his story with me. He grew up here in Warren, but unfortunately, his childhood and family life were very unhealthy, leading him down the wrong path. He experimented with drugs at an early age, and it became an addiction for him, which has kept him on the streets as well as in and out of prison. He takes ownership of this and blames no one but himself for his situation but, unfortunately, feels stuck in this cycle. We’re praying that Ken finds restoration in his life.
