Meet: Chris
Chris Ratliff is 57 years old and likes to be called a humanitarian as these were the types of missions he went on during his career in the Army. He did tours including Panama, Guantanamo Bay, and Somalia, where his team helped rescue the rangers of the black hawk down incident. He thanks Jesus for bringing him through the ups and downs of life and keeping him safe, not only overseas but on the streets as well. Previously he lived a life of using drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes but says by the grace of God, he now lives a life of sobriety. I met Chris at a veterans day celebration down at the VOA. He currently lives there and is hoping to get housing of his own through their programs.
