Meet: Casper
Casper is a man I actually have drawn before when I was a college freshman and volunteering with our local homeless mission, Area Relief Ministries. I had a project to draw people in need, and I met Casper and drew a sketch of him. God knew what He was doing in an amazing way because in hindsight that project was like an early Faces of Jackson!
Years later, Casper has since moved into housing but kept in touch with Mike, the director at Area Relief, and came back to the mission to share the good news and get help setting up his new place. He heard about Faces of Jackson and asked if he could have his portrait painted, too! I loved painting him and showing what I think might be little pride he has in himself. Well deserved, sir!
